STOUFFVILLE, ON - The CSFL is thrilled to announce the 2023 CSFL National Classic XXVII will take place in Haliburton September 9 and 10.
“We are excited to return to Haliburton for our National Classic! Our team has been working with the County of Haliburton to ensure a great experience for both the community and the anglers. I look forward to working with Mayor Murray Fearrey and would like to thank Patrick Kennedy for his assistance and support,” Andrew Pallotta of the CSFL states.
“Haliburton is appreciative of the National Classic coming to our community. From experience we know the economic impact and interest for our community; I personally look forward to working to make the event successful,” said Mayor Murray Fearrey
The National Classic will kick off with the Angler Meeting taking place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 129 - Haliburton on Friday, September 8. The traditional Competitors’ Dinner will return once again prior to the Angler Meeting.
The five-lake chain includes Kashagawigamog Lake, Grass Lake, Head Lake, Soyers Lake and Canning Lake, providing plenty of water for the competitors. Weigh Ins will take place downtown Haliburton at Head Lake Rotary Park (13 York St, Haliburton).
Andrew adds “The CSFL is working with the County of Haliburton in creating temporary docking within meters of the Head Lake Rotary Park Band Shell to benefit both the anglers and fish care by keeping the Live Release Boat close for redistribution of the fish. The Band Shell and surrounding areas will accommodate all qualifying teams both days with the top five teams of Day 1 driving by on the final day. We are slowly working our way back to the big stage set-up since COVID.”
The top 35 teams from the Eastern Tour, top 35 teams from the Western Tour, top 10 teams from the Berkley Tour, top 10 teams from the DT Opens Tour and top semi pro winners of the PRO BASS Cup Series will advance to the 2023 CSFL National Classic XXVII. Qualification is based on combined points within the respective tour using the best four events utilizing only one of the Wildcards as a substitution. A minimum of four events is required to qualify for all tours. Competitors fishing with various partners in a tour may qualify as an individual.
Registration for the 2023 CSFL Qualifying Season is open. If you wish to register or have any questions regarding the CSFL please contact our team via email at victoria@csfl.ca or by telephone at 905-640-2277.
